Millwall Lionesses fell to a 3-1 defeat against Dorking Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.

Millwall came into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Moneyfields in the Women’s FA Cup.

The hosts started strong and took the lead in the 18th minute - a superb overhead-kick from Rachael Manley leaving Chrissie Wiggins with no chance.

The Lionesses nearly hit back immediately as Maisie Joyce’s free-kick was dealt with well.

But, eight minutes later, Dorking doubled their lead as a good cross into the box was turned in by Manley for her second of the afternoon.

Two minutes later it was three as a passage of play led to Sarah Sparrow finishing from a tight angle.

Millwall got one back just six minutes after the restart as Shannan Drewe fired home.

Alex Russell and Adam Rowland’s side kept probing for a route back into the match, but the hosts stood firm to condemn Millwall to just a third defeat in 10 games.

Millwall Lionesses: Wiggins, Chapman, Huseyin, Bailey, Jones, Bennett, Joyce, Garwood, Napper, Giordani, Drewe.
