Millwall Community Trust’s Post-16 Football Academy (in partnership with Lewisham College) are currently recruiting players for September 23.

The Post-16 Football Academy provides professional football coaching to young players with aspirations of progressing in the game with Millwall Community Trust, or other senior clubs, along with a structured academic/vocational education programme that meets their learning needs.

The Post 16 Football Academy is available for players in school years 12/13 and offers the following:

  • A programme of study accompanied with professional football development
  • Structured games programme in the EFL Football Alliance League and SCL youth league (playing against other pro clubs)
  • UEFA qualified coaches who have worked in the professional game
  • Game model based on main academy
  • All games and training on FIFA standard 3G pitches
  • Individual Development Plans for all players
  • All games filmed and analysed
  • Free Gym usage

Stuart McFadyen, Millwall Community Trust’s Post-16 Officer said: “Last season we finished the league strongly and we are looking for new players who have the appetite to progress in the game. Over the course of the season, I complete in depth analysis with all the players regarding their performances and linking this back to their individual development plan. This allows everyone on our programme to identify areas of improvement and has really helped with our recent success.

“I’m happy with the foundations that I have set and I can guarantee each player that commits to the post 16 programme will develop and start to reach their potential.”
