Millwall Community Trust has been recognised by the Mayor of London for their outstanding work once again in Lewisham and Southwark.

The acknowledgment can be read below:

We want to take the opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional work you do in supporting and inspiring young people in your community.

These past few years have been a particularly challenging time for young people and as they face the rising cost of living in London and the uncertainties that come with this, support from a

trusted relationship is critical. You have demonstrated that when times are tough, it is even more important to provide quality youth services.

Thanks to you, the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund has supported over 150,000 young Londoners from 2018 to 2023, offering safe spaces, positive activities and building trusted relationships.

For information on further opportunities for young people, as we approach the summer, we encourage you to join the Local Village Network (LVN) at https://www.lvn.org.uk/signpost/

On behalf of the Mayor, thank you again for your passion and dedication to support our city’s children and young people.

Sean Daly, Millwall Community Trust CEO said: “We are delighted to get recognition from the Mayor’s office for our outstanding work once again with young Londoners in Lewisham and Southwark.

“The aims of the Trust are to give opportunities to young people in our local community.

“It shows what important work a football club can do in its local area, and we will continue to do this.”
