Millwall Community Trust Launch Half-Term Holiday Programmes
School holidays are one of our busiest times of the year at MCT, and this February half-term will be no different!
We will be hosting a range of different activities, from goalkeeping specialist sessions to girls only courses.
We have sessions running every day of the week, with sessions at the Lions’ Centre and St Paul’s running from 9AM-3PM each day.
During these sessions, children are coached in their age groups in the morning with MCT coaches looking to help develop the player’s football techniques and movement skills. The afternoon is devoted to a World Cup-style tournament that runs throughout the week with prizes for our winners.
Children will also have the opportunity to have a tour of The Den, Millwall FC’s famous stadium, and children who attend all week will receive a free ticket to a Millwall home game.
Over 3,000 children attend the courses each year, with parents consistently praising the improvement in their children’s confidence and social skills, as well as keeping them fit over the holiday periods.
Sean Daly, Football Development Manager, said: “Our holiday programmes are a fantastic way for children to socialise and stay fit over the break.
“As a two-time EFL community club of the year winner, we’re committed to being a positive presence in the local area, and the consistently positive feedback from parents about our half-term courses show how well received our half-term activities are.”
All our coaches hold FA or UEFA coaching qualifications, have attended Safeguarding & First Aid training and have valid DBS checks and references carried out.
