Last week, MCT’s Post 16 Academy attended a workshop ran by Millwall For All in Harry’s bar at The Den.

Millwall For All are Millwall FC’s inclusion and diversity group who deliver and coordinate the fantastic work that Millwall FC do to tackle racism and discrimination within the local community.

The workshop, which was delivered to students on MCT’s Post-16 Academy programme, discussed how to identify racism, how to combat it, and how to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everybody is welcome, regardless of the colour of their skin.

James Meredith and Ben Thompson, both Millwall FC players, also attended the workshop and spoke about their struggles and experiences on the road to becoming professional footballers with Ben, a local boy, having started his football journey ias a player in Millwall’s academy, and James being a World-Cup capped player for Australia.

Sean Daly, Football Development Manager, said: “We’re delighted that Millwall For All took the time out to speak with and educate our Post-16 Academy students.

“Millwall For All do fantastic work to promote diversity and inclusion, and make Millwall a positive and welcoming environment.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to work with Millwall For All, and hope MCT can take their work on board and help spread their good message into our local community.”
