Millwall community Lions creating the winning parcel Lions response: Millwall Community Trust along with ASDA and transport and volunteer key worker staff logistic support from Conisborough College came together as one winning team to support the communities response for young people and families via packing and distributing over 300 food support parcels in response to the current pandemic. CEO of MCT Sean Daly stated: "In current unprecedented times we continue to see the local community come back with an unprecedented community response like any winning team does. Millwall are proud to be a small part of this response as we continue to adapt our support to best suit current priority needs. We are extremely grateful to our local ASDA and Community colleague Zena and her ASDA team, along with transport and volunteer manpower provided by Conisborough College key worker staff who stacked, packed and help distribute all parcels into the local community”. The MCT Education & Employability Manager John Scarborough added: "The difference this had made to the families at this time in receipt of this support from within the local community has been enormous. The Key worker volunteers have had lots of messages of thanks from the families and to see the organisation from this army of key workers packing and delivering this into the community, whilst continuing with their daily teaching duties but still wanting to contribute has been outstanding for the trust to be a part of. The stories coming back from families of the impact of 10 weeks of both employment and education shut down have been heart rending but also a privilege for the team to spend time to listen to, and where possible support." #ConisboroughKeyworkerLions #youngpeople #Asdawareness #Communityresponse #Conisboroughtransport #oldkentroadASDA
