Millwall Community Trust are looking for local charities in Southwark and Lewisham to partner up with in the summer where a group of 15 young people can visit the charity on two separate occasions in August. First visit being a get to know the charity and the second being a volunteering day visit.

The NCS programme is designed for young people to be able to help and support their local community through volunteering, social action and fundraising.  During the young peoples' time on NCS they will be doing a fundraising activity with all funds being donated to the charity they partner up with. They will also be creating a project to raise awareness about the social issues that affect the charity's service users.

In the past there have been a variety of social action projects which included a food drive to help support Voluntary Services Lewisham, A sponsored Walk to raise funds for Alzheimer's & Dementia Support Services, Helping the Salvation Army with their Christmas project and supporting a variety of projects combating food insecurity run by the local Mayoresses.
