Today Rathfern Primary School made the trip to Reading Community Trust to play in the regional finals of the EFL Trust kids cup. Teacher Errison Ahwan made the boys do their home work on the short drive.

The team was drawn in to a tough group with  .

In the group stages they won two games, lost two games and drew the other game. They progressed into the quater finals against  but unfortunately they lost 3-0 but played really well just got unlucky. 

Nicola Waxler our Premier league Stars Officer said “Rathfern Primary School have represented Millwall Community Trust fantastically well. They have conducted themselves professionally and respectfully throughout the competition, on the field and off it as well. Their behaviour was exemplary and they are a credit to their school. They also performed amazingly well on the pitch, reaching the quarter finals, after only losing one group game in 5. They came up against a very strong Cardiff City side in the quarters that looked like they had been playing together for years. Our boys fought to the end and made it a very memorable day for us all”

Rathfern teacher said Errison Ahwan "Thank you to Millwall for giving this once in a life time opportunity to our year 6 team today. From travelling in the Millwall mini bus to putting on the Millwall kit it was a unforgettable day for all.
